Action!

The props and scenery are finished and in place:

The man on the spotlight is ready!

The stage hands are ready:

Enter Snow White and her father, "King Absent-minded".

The Queen (and wicked stepmother) inquiring, "Who is the fairest in the land?"

The Queen disguised as a peddler comes to deceive poor Snow White.

The Queen, disguised as a kindly old woman, beguiles the lovely Snow White with the poisoned apple.

Poor Snow White, asleep under the wicked Queen's spell.

The Prince comes to break the spell.

The spell is broken, the Queen's true identity found out,... but she is repentent and forgiven by all.

And they all lived happily everafter!
The stage crew and directors were acknowledged and thanked for their hard work!

And we all enjoyed a pizza party together afterwards.

THE END!

BFA's annual High School Retreat in Nurnberg, Germany. This is a time of spiritual encouragement, worship, and fun organized every year at this point in the school year.

This is the third time Sue has helped out with this retreat. It is a great opportunity for spending time with the girls in her small group.

"Fashion show" at the retreat:

Bob stayed home with Luke and Marshall ... enjoying some "Game Cube" time on Saturday morning:

Candlelight Dinner

This was the theme of Candlelight Dinner this year:

Over 700 people came out to enjoy a fine dinner and to hear "Gospel Music". The musical and theatrical performance was repeated on Sunday as part of our worship service and many Germans from our community came to this as well. The music and drama was amazing, and the Gospel message of freedom from sin was clearly presented.

A painting of Hariet Tubman, painted by one of our student's dads!

Students and staff from BFA, and members from our church (and other local German churches) all colabored together with local missionary organizations to put together this great event.

Sue and I helped out in the kitchen with serving and cleaning up the dinner.

Hannah participated in the Gospel Choir and sung a solo part in, "This train!":

Marshall played with the "African Drummers". He also helped with the stage crew.

Fantastic February!

Work Team from Canada.
We had seven men from a church in Alberta, Canada come to help us with the Palmgarten dorm construction project. These men left their families and jobs for two weeks to serve the Lord in this way. We are so thankful for the many man hours of hard work these men gave us: putting up wallboard, spackling, sanding, painting, and a lot of insulation. It was a privilege to work along side them and get to know these men who are our brothers in Christ.

We also had another couple, Bob and Ginger Weaver from Virginia, help us for three weeks on this project. This is their third time they have come to help us with renovation projects!
